Really really good stuff

Sluggy Online
Kiki A long-standing online comic favourite. Science fiction, demons, talking animals, etc. Like something really cute wrapped up in a smelly sock.

Schlock Mercenary
Schlock Science fiction to the pseudo-realism max!

Scary-Go-Round
Zombie Shelly Bobbins mark two (sort of) with computer-drawn characters! Super-awesome.

Exploding Dog
Exploding Dog Red robot definitely lives here.

Cat and Girl
Cat and Girl Self-referential ironic anti-irony.

Overcompensating
Awesome and wierd social commentary from Jeffry Roland. He single-handedly brought the words "Snakes on a plane" to the blog-o-sphere. For that we salute him.

Questionable Content
If his characters' frequent Indie-rock references don't alienate you, then his Recommended Listening page will humble you. URST and some RST and fun stories.

A Softer World
Irreverent and gothy. Is there contact email "We're Wolves @ a softer world", or "Werewolves @ a softer world"?

Nine Planets Without Intelligent Life
A dystopian future of the solar system, with philosopher-robot-übermensh.

The Perry Bible Fellowship
Yes. Updates weekly.

Boy on a Stick and Slither
Social commentary with about a 60% hit rate.

Beaver and Steve
Indefinable but fun.

Diesel Sweeties
Red robot lives here. And Indie Pete.

Goats
A supposed geek comic, but more about acohol consumption and panties of potency.

Achewood
Phillipe Um...

Stoopid Pigeon
Also highly non-PG, but with a BIG heart and twisted humour. Shit, who writes these captions?

Bruno
Now kind of sporadically updated. Bruno is a super-melancholy girl who lives in an extremely realistic world. This one's been going since 1996.

Doonesbury
You've got to admire the staying power of a guy who's been writing (almost daily) comics since 1970. When you've got a couple of weeks to spare, it's worth going through the archives just to know the in-jokes. Hint: you can get to the entire archive by modifying the image URLs.

Little Dee
A much more up-beat comic by the author of Bruno.

A Lesson is Learned, but the Damage is Irreversible
The best artwork of any online strip, and the most consistently interesting one-off stories. Now attempting a serial format. Updates seldom.

Bob the Angry Flower
Political and social commentary, along with giant robots and monsters. Updated weekly.

Zebra Girl
Fantastic artwork. Gothy wierdness. With rabbits.

Copper
Beautiful, both art and stories. This artist has some work in Flight. Updated every couple of months.

Really good stuff which isn't updated anymore

Buttercup Festival
Sketched mountain Beautiful and surreal.

Return to Sender
Pear Characters so cute they're edible.

Fluble
Will Fluble rise again? Oh god I hope so; this could be one of the most enjoyable comics ever, even if it can be a little inconsistent. Yay Mastrangelo. I stumbled across this about a month after it 'ended', and promptly read the entire archives in a week of bleary-eye-ed-ness. Mastrangelo says Fluble's not dead, and keeps me hanging on with sporadic website updates. I know you're out there somewhere, Mastrangelo!

Bobbins
Holly Last five strips
English graphic design hilarity. Red robot lives here occasionally. Bobbins is now closed to business, unfortunately. There's a new comic, Scary Go Round, with most of the same characters.

Exploitation Now
Bush Highly non-PG comic with occasional fantastic plotlines.

Radio Maru
There's not a lot here, but the garphic novels from this artist (Scott Pilgrim and Lost at Sea) are fantastic.

EM World
David Twomey's old journal comic. Worth catching up on, time permitting.

Kean Soo
Kean's no-longer-updated journal comic is worth reading. Exit Music (some of which is in Flight 2 is fantastic.

It's Walky
It's Walky Alien hunting and (perhaps slightly wishful) teenage angst. It's the best kind! Also good narratives and back-stories. Definitely doesn't fit into the 'gag a day' newspaper comic scene.

Too Much Coffee Man
Political and day-to-day insight, from a guy with a mug for a head.

Acid Reflux
Universe So Acid Reflux is officially dead. This was a seldom-updated semi-manga comic about god and her pet universe. Oh well.

Life on Forbez
LoF could be good too; it's been on hiatus for a long while now...

Last Cereal
Last cereal Message Board
This comic is a reason to have faith in humanity. Read the archives. Or don't, because I want to keep this to myself.

Living In Greytown
Phil It was a sad day when LiG finished. The archives are definitely worth reading, once you get passed the part where Dave was basically doing the Big Ones thing.

Zak Meadow
G-Man Zak Meadow is a comment on globalisation. Short, but very worth the read. I love the corporate tapeworm and 'Carpool Tunnel Estates'.

Lizard Comics
Dave Kelly strikes again! This was a spin-off from Living In Greytown. Once again Dave creates a cool beautiful comic and then just... stops. I suppose it's a good thing to know when to quit.

Slow Wave
Weekly dream humour.

Other stuff

Sinfest
Monique Disliked by most of the 'indie' webcomic community, Tatsuya manages to draw a massive following with his hip-hop style and frequent fan-service.

Hound's Home
Cheese Hound's Home is a fantastic comic, when it's actually being updated. Teenage angst, comments on fashion, etc. Infrequently updated.

Elf Life
Elf life Elves, Faeries, Swash-buckling... Not updated any more, and unfortunately the author seems to started a politically very right-wing comic instead... What a waste.

Untitled Gif
Message Board
Consume! Repay! Imbibe! By Tom-o-topia, I believe. ;)

Road Waffles
Squirrel Cowboy humour by Eight. Now back with more Hunter S. Thompson ripoffs!

Sabrina Online
Another furry comic. Sometimes worth catching up with; updates are fairly infrequent.

Get Your War On!
Since 2001 (of course).

Girly!
A lesbian super-hero and her sidekick. Now this page will get trillions of hits.

College Roomies From Hell
CRFH Angst and violence.

Cigarro and Cerveja
Cigarro A smoking rabbit and a canadian goose. More talking animals, but they usually talk about important things, even if sometimes they do so rather obviously.

Gene Catlow
Gene Fantastic detailed narratives and minority (albeit furry) rights.

Purple Pussy
Dave Kelly strikes again. It's not what you think.

Jerk City
Much gay humour.

Escape
Escape Andrea's stated 'Mr Hyde' self goes rank.

Smut
Dave Kelly strikes yet again. Most definitely non-PG, this is EXACTLY what you think.

Comic Strip
Indefinable.

Sam and Fuzzy
Cool artwork.

Butternut Squash
